Applications

Tulare County 4-H Scholarship applications, Adult Recognition nominations, and Leadership applications are due annually on the same dates as County Record Books and Officer Books for Competition, the current due date is July 15th.

Scholarships

The following Scholarship awards are available to 4-H members.  Be sure to read the eligibility information for each award to ensure that you meet them before you apply.  Completed Scholarship applications and all supporting documents are due to the 4-H Office by July 15, 2022.  

Annual Adult Recognition Awards

The following awards may be received only once by an individual, organization, or business.  Nominations may be submitted by any 4-H member (youth and adult) or 4-H Parent/Guardian.  Adult Recognition Nominations are due to the County 4-H Office by July 15, 2022.

List of Tulare County 4-H YDP Adult Recognition Award Past Recipients

  • 4-H Alumni - This award is to honor individual former 4-H members who have performed outstanding service in their job or profession, and have made a valuable contribution as a volunteer in youth, civic, public, religious, political or school activities.  The individuals outstanding performance may be in the community, county, state, nation, or world.  The individual must have been a 4-H member at one time in his/her life, but need not have been a member in the county where he/she is being recognized.  The individual being nominated for Alumni Recognition does NOT have to be currently active in the 4-H program as a leader or supporter.  
  • Outstanding 4-H Leader - This award is to honor a 4-H Leader who has provided outstanding leadership at club, area, and county levels.
  • Friend of 4-H Award - This award is to honor an individual (other than 4-H leaders) who has made contributions or has performed a service that is beyond the ordinary and affects more than one 4-H club.
  • Distinguished Service Award - This award is to honor an organization or firm that has made contributions or has performed a service that is beyond the ordinary and affects more than one 4-H club.
