Participating in National Competitions
All expenses, planning, and paperwork are the responsibility of the team selected. First place teams would be offered the opportunity first and so forth. The State 4-H Equine Education Programs will provide some financial support depending upon availability of funds.
For each contest area, a 4-H adult volunteer leader will be selected as a coach of the CA Delegation to participate in the national competition. Duties will include coaching the team for competition and supervising their participation in the virtual event.
One coach will be appointed to serve as the state team coordinator.
Coach applications will open on September 1, 2020. Selections will be made by the State 4-H Office September 2020. If a coach is not named for a team, the team will be ineligible to attend the national event.
