Weather - what to expect

Monterey weather is beautiful in August with daily high temperatures between 61°F and 73°F. Low temperatures are around 55°F. Those from the hotter areas of California often escape to Monterey and other coastal cities for relief from the heat of the interior parts of California.

The temperatures can be somewhat cooler because you'll be right on the ocean, so be sure to dress in layers and bring a sweater/windbreaker with you!
