*Breakout sessions—All session will be 60 minutes long and will involve hands-on activities. Participants will be divided into 3 groups and will attend each session in a rotating schedule.
- Asian Citrus Psyllid and HLB-- Minimizing the impact of Asian citrus psyllid in gardens and landscapes. An overview of the threat posed by ACP and Huanglongbing disease, best management practices for residents, and how Master Gardeners can help. Presenter: Dr. Elizabeth Grafton-Cardwell, IPM Specialist with the Dept of Entomology UC Riverside and Director of Lindcove Research and Extension Center.
- Weed Identification—Weed identification tools, tour of weedy areas and conditions that favor weeds, and best management practices. Presenter: John Roncoroni, UCCE Napa County
- Pesticides and IPM-- Overview of pesticides and their role in an IPM programs, health and environmental concerns, reading and understanding labels, and discussion of organic and less toxic pesticides. Presenter: Karey Windbiel-Rojas and Anne Schellman, Statewide IPM Program
