Rosa Nutkana

Aka ‘Nutka Rose’ This medium-sized shrub (to 5 feet) is upright, with slender stems of purplish brown color. The thorns, generally found only on old wood, are straight and sharp. The flowers are single, lavender-purple in color, with pronounced creamy yellow stamens. They are up to 2 ½ inch across and appear in mid-summer. Very conspicuous, plumply oval, bright red hips follow.
