Recording Progress Report
In this function, you record the following Progress Report information that occurred during the reporting year for your Projects/Programs:
- Outputs - List projectdeliverables (other than publications), such as activities/events, services, and products. Include a description of how the results have been disseminated.
- Activities/events examples include: conferences, demonstration sites, field days, symposia, workshops, trainings, etc.
- Services examples include: consulting, counseling, tutoring, etc.
- Products examples include: such as new fundamental knowledge; audio or video products; curricula; train-the-trainer manuals; data or databases; websites; software; equipment or instruments; invention patent application and/or license; models; networks and/or collaborations fostered by the project or activity; physical collections or resources such as new plant varieties; new animal germplasm or genetic maps; etc.
- Outcomes/Impacts - Describe how findings, results, products, or techniques, developed or extended from the project, generated an outcome and/or made or contributed to an impact. Outcomes/Impacts can be changes in:
- Learning: Knowledge, awareness, or skills gained by others (e.g., scientists, trainees, Californians).
- Examples: New knowledge of fundamental or applied research, methods and techniques, health and nutrition, positive life choices, etc.
- Action: New methods/tools or behaviors/practices adopted by others.
- Examples: Application and actual use of fundamental or applied knowledge; adoption of new methods or technologies; improved skills; direct application of information from publications; etc.
- Policy or Decision Making: Science-based information applied to decision-making and results from policy engagement (including influencing any stage of the policy process).
- Examples: Presenting research to an advisory committee led to adoption of a new policy at state, regional, or organizational level
- Conditions: A change in condition occurs when a societal, environmental or economic condition is improved due to a participant's action.
- Examples: safer food supply; reduced obesity rates and improved nutrition and health; improved water quality; better and less expensive animal health; changes in wages or health care benefits for the agricultural workforce; etc.
- Learning: Knowledge, awareness, or skills gained by others (e.g., scientists, trainees, Californians).
- Collaborators - Provide information about any individuals or contacts (including partner organizations) that have worked on the project.
- Target Audience - Describe any individuals or organizations that were served by the project. Include those who benefited from any training and development opportunities that were provided by the project, such as K-12 teachers, farmers, managers, etc.
