The poster session will be grouped by topic similar to those identified for the scientific program. All posters will be displayed during a wine reception held from 6:00 to 8:30 pm on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Buehler Alumni & Visitors Center located at the south end of the UC Davis Campus.
The author must be present during the reception to answer questions related to the work. The author is responsible for setting up and removing the poster.
GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS
The goal of a poster session is to convey information by the combination of a visual display, questions and discussion. This is an excellent opportunity for direct exchange between symposium participants and the presenter. Each presenter meets with interested participants during a wine reception and has a direct opportunity to answer questions and to describe his or her research.
POSTER FORMAT GUIDELINES
Poster must not exceed dimensions of 42" (1.0 m) vertically or horizontally. Posters should contain the following information:
- Title (All uppercase letters in bold font)
- Name(s) of Authors, Institutional affiliations and postal addresses of all authors, Email for corresponding author
- Tables, graphs or diagrams that concisely describe the results
POSTER PRINT/GRAPHICS SIZE: Lettering on the "Abstract, Title/Author, Introduction and Conclusion" pages should be a minimum of 18 point type. Enlarge graphs, figures and text so that they can be easily read. All photographs should be at least 203.20 mm x 254 mm in size (8 x 10 inches).
SCHEDULED PRESENTATION TIME
The assigned presentation time to attend to your poster is 1800-2030 (6:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.) on Friday, June 25 during the poster session reception. Posters will be located at the UC Davis Buehler Alumni & Visitors Center in the Alpha Gamma Rho Room.
Symposium attendees that visit your poster may expect a handout that includes supplemental information and a summary and conclusion. Some presenters opt to distribute a copy of the poster material.
POSTER SET UP (UC Davis Buehler Alumni & Visitors Center -- Alpha Gamma Rho Room)
Obtain your symposium registration materials at the Registration Desk located at the UC Davis Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) Meeting Room 3 on Wednesday, June 23 between 1830 and 2030 (6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) or at the Registration Desk located at the UC Davis Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) Ballroom on Thursday, June 24 and Friday, June 25 beginning at 0700.
All presenters are required to set up their poster(s) on Friday, June 25 between 1030 and 1700 (10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.). Push pins are provided and will be located in the poster board staging area. The posters will be on display for viewing on Friday, June 25 from 1800 to 2030.
POSTER IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS
An identification number was assigned to each poster abstract as shown in the Proceedings of the 6th International Table Grape Symposium. Presenters must take note of their abstract number and then mount their poster on the board having the same number printed on a small sign placed on the upper right hand corner of the board.
POSTER DISMANTLE (UC Davis Buehler Alumni & Visitors Center -- Alpha Gamma Rho Room)
Presenters must dismantle their posters between 2030 and 2100 (8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.) on Friday, June 25. We would appreciate your cooperation in not dismantling your material prior to these times. If you are unable to do this in person, please ask a colleague to do so for you or contact a poster session chair. Any posters that remain after 2100 (9:00 p.m.) will be disposed of.
