Compost Volunteers Wanted!

Composting Volunteers Needed! 

If you are interested in getting hands-on experience learning how to compost food scrapes and green wastes the UC Master Gardener Program (MGP) of Imperial County is looking for 2-3 composting volunteers to assist the UC MGP Coordinator in preparing for a Fall Composting Training Series. 

This volunteer opportunity would be for 11 weeks, and would begin Saturday, Sept. 3rd, 2022, and continue until Saturday Nov. 19th, 2022.  Volunteers will meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 6am-8am. 

WE NEED VOLUNTEER TO: 

• Learn the basics of small- scale active composting systems 

• Work with gardening tools to build and turn compost piles 
• Provide additional support during the Fall composting training series
