Class of 2018
What Is Reappointment?
Every year, on June 1st, volunteers will receive an email with a link to the Reappointment Request form. This form is a formal request to be reappointed as a Master Composter (MC). If this form is not filled out by June 30, volunteers are resigned and dropped from the program.
The form is simple. You need to be aware of the number of hours that you have volunteered and the number of Continuing Education (CE) hours that you have obtained.
Once filled out and submitted, you will receive an email letting you know that your request has been received and you are done.

Volunteer Requirements for Reappointment
During Initial Training, volunteers are considered Trainees; After Training, volunteers are considered First Year volunteers, and are required to complete 50 hours of volunteer time over the course of the next program year, to be considered for reappointment in June.
On July 1 of that following program year, all volunteers who have met the requirement are considered Master Composters and are required to complete 25 hours of Volunteer service plus 12 hours of Continuing Education over the course of the next program year and each program year thereafter
Volunteer Hours Reported
A copy of the Volunteer Hours report is emailed out to the volunteers at the beginning of each month so volunteers can verify that they have recorded all of their volunteer and continuing education time for the current program year. Our Program Year runs July 1 to June 30.
