Research Interests My current research examines the various social, economic and agroecological dimentions of climate change adaptation and mitigation in Yolo County. Using input from collaborators across a range of diciplines (economics, hydrology, agronomy, land use planning, sociology) our objective is to examine how strategies for adaptation and mitigaton can increase agricultual sustainability, incorporate a range of ecosystem services and provide resiliance to the uncertainties of a changing climate.
Alternative Water Management Systems in Rice I also maintain research interests in water, nutrient and weed managment in a diverse range of rice production systems (e.g. lowland rice, aerobic rice, AWD and SRI) used in various parts of Asia, Latin America, Africa and North America.
