As the trend for growing edibles in your landscape, also known as edible landscaping continues. Persimmon species: These hardy trees provide fruit during the late fall/early winter. Their spectacular bright red to orange fall color is followed by orange ripening fruit that hangs majestically on bare branches.

Plum 'Satsuma', Peach 'Mid-Pride' and Pluots: All of these fruit trees also have showy fall color in shades of red, yellow and orange.

Grapes 'Cabernet Sauvignon' and others: Have intense red fall color.
