Native Grass Meadow

We also installed a 12' x 24' native grass meadow, in which plants will be allowed to grow to full size.  The species used in the meadow are:

Purple needlegrass (Nassella pulchra) - back triangle
'Molate' red fescue (Festuca rubra) - right, between sprinkler heads
Junegrass (Koeleria macrantha) - left, between sprinkler heads

The two small sod patches in front are: On the left, "Native Preservation Mix" (Koeleria macrantha, Nassella pulchra, Nassella cernua, and Festuca rubra), and on the right, "Native Mow-Free Mix" (Festuca occidentalis, Festuca idahoensis, and Festuca rubra).
