About Us

The mission of the University of California Cooperative Extension Farm Advisor is to sustain the vitality of agriculture, the environment, and community in Marin County by providing University of California research-based information on ag practice, natural resource management, nutrition, and youth development.

The University of California Cooperative Extension is Marin County’s University of California. UCCE provides countywide services through an agreement between the County and UC that has existed since 1921. Through this unique partnership between Marin, the University of California (UC), support from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and other private funds, the Department’s Advisors and educational programs use practically applied research information to solve community problems. Advisors and program team members, alongside our supporting partners, consult with individuals and organizations, publish newsletters, produce information for mass media, and conduct seminars and workshops.
