Program: Do you enjoy hiking trails? Do you like puzzles? Join UC Marin Master Gardener Kam Shadan as he leads a trail hike from the gate to Phyllis Ellman in Corte Madera to Turtle Rock at the top of Ring Mountain (elevation 460 ft) and back down through the loop. A plant puzzle handout is given to each participant; you will find the answers to the puzzle through your observations during the hike.
This hike is strenuous. Participants must have hiking experience and able to hike rougher and steeper trails. Wear layered clothing, long pants for protection against elements and poison oak, hiking shoes with good traction, and bring water. Hiking poles are recommended. There are no facilities on the hiking trail. This hike is not appropriate for children under 13 or pets. The hike may be cancelled if the ground is too wet due to recent rain or if the Friday night forecast predicts any rain on Saturday.
Location Ring Mountain, the exact location will be emailed to registered participants.
