Biography

Jonelle Mason’s dedication for wildlife and our natural world motivated her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in biology. Beginning her career with some of the largest animals on the planet, she used animal training to influence thousands of people throughout the country. As a Master Herpetologist, Jonelle studied reptiles and amphibians extensively while also maintaining a special admiration for these generally unloved creatures. She spends her free time volunteering at a local reptile rescue, community preservation projects and a wildlife rehabilitation center. After working with exotic animals for over a decade, Jonelle joined the Project Learning Tree team, combining her fierce love for nature and environmental education.
