IPM Workshop for Retail Nurseries and Garden Centers
This workshop is a great opportunity to brush up on home and garden pests, pesticides, and resources to consult when customers’ vegetable pest questions arise! This hands-on workshop, co-sponsored by University of California Integrated Pest Management Program and UC Cooperative Extension, is designed especially for retail employees, managers, owners, and affiliates.
A hands-on, train-the-trainer workshop to help you gain new skills to better serve your customers and keep them coming back!
In addition to the Oakland location, this training will be held in San Diego (February 2020). Please see the UC IPM training website for more information.

Time: 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM
Cost: $40 per person
Topics will include:
- Insects, diseases, and vertebrate pests of vegetable gardens
- IPM tools and resources for the public
- Less toxic pesticides for vegetable pests

Your $40* registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, materials, access to training materials presented during the workshop, and a copy of the Vegetable Pest Identification for Gardens card set.
Send a few, train many! The workshop will be a "train-the-trainer" seminar. Attendees will receive materials so they can go back to their stores and train others on what they learned.
