Sew much fun at State Fashion Review

Jun 6, 2014

One of the most popular events at the 4-H State Field Day is State Fashion Revue, and this year was no exception!  On May 31st five San Joaquin County 4-H members who had medaled at County Fashion Revue traveled to UC Davis to compete against youth from across California.

The categories offered this year were:

  • Traditional
  • Consumer science purchased
  • Upcycled
  • Denim challenge
  • Apron challenge

Participants were also able to participate in two community service projects during the event: sewing drawstring bags for foster children that would be later filled with personal care items or sewing carrier bags designed to be attached to senior citizens' walkers and wheelchairs.
