A new face at the County 4-H Office

Jun 13, 2014

As of June 9th the San Joaquin County 4-H Office welcomed a new Youth Development Advisor: Robert Withrow-Clark!

4-H Youth Development Advisors play a vital role in developing and sustaining our programs.  Robert will be helping make sure we have access to all of the resources offered by the University of California, developing fruitful collaborations with other organizations and agencies, and helping our staff and volunteers evaluate and improve our programs.  He will also be acting as the 4-H Youth Development Advisor for Stanislaus County, so you can expect more cross-county opportunities in the future!

Robert wrote the following introductory letter for our community:

Greetings,

I am honored and extremely excited to take on the role as the San Joaquin County 4-H Youth Development Advisor.

I have nearly ten years of youth development experience, working in both formal and informal educational settings.  Prior to my work with youth, I spent nearly five years in the veterinary medicine industry.  Educationally speaking, much of my undergrad work was focused on the natural sciences, specifically zoology.  I possess a master's degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of the Pacific.  Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate degree in Curriculum & Instruction, with an emphasis in Environmental/Science/Outdoor Education, Human Development and Ecopsychology.

Moving forward, I wish to support the great work that is already being accomplished through 4-H in San Joaquin County.  I am confident that this partnership will lead to many great opportunities and experiences for 4-H youth throughout the county. Please accept my invitation to use me as a resource at any time.

Respectfully,

Robert Withrow-Clark

4-H Youth Development Advisor, San Joaquin County

Please join us in welcoming Robert to our team!
