California 4-H overnight and day camp programs engage youth in social events, recreational pursuits, and training workshops. Campers can participate in a myriad of activities such as canoeing, crafting, or hiking. They can discover a new Spark, establish a willingness to try new things, and develop the qualities of healthy, happy, thriving people.
4-H camps are county-based programs that focus on the interests and needs of local youth. Participating in camp programs help youth build self confidence, meet new people, and experience new opportunities.
San Joaquin 4-H currently offers a 5-day Summer Camp at Silver Lake in late June every year. The camp is planned and executed by a team of Junior Counselors, making it a youth camp truly run by youth!
We also offer a variety of day camps during spring and summer break. These are generally 5-day programs on a specific topic that are led by Teen Counselors.
