Waterfront activities at Silver Lake during 4-H Camp
Our camp is located at Silver Lake Camp at the foot of Thunder Mountain in Amador County.  The historic camp is about 100 miles east of Stockton on Highway 88 at an elevation of 7,300 feet, and is less than an hour from Lake Tahoe.

Campers can fish, hike and participate in waterfront activities like canoeing, kayaking, and swimming.  Campers can learn many new skills like outdoor cooking, leather crafting, and archery.  Each evening, members look forward to the campfire program with singing, skits, and fun that are traditional favorites.

Junior Counselors supervise campers in their cabin, participate in and lead general or specialized camp activities.  They are expected to assume responsibility for the campers in their group and work along with other JC’s and Adult Leaders on camp assignments. Check out the 2017 Junior Counselor Recruitment Flyer for more information on their role at camp!
