WRC Extramural Contracts:
The WRC had three on-going contracts with various departments in the state Resources Agency. These involved a large number of UC employees who worked in various roles in state agencies. They worked closely with the WRC Policy Board developing guiding principles for WRC extramural funding.
The contracts were:
- California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection - wildland fire and monitoring;
- Tahoe Conservancy – conservation, management, monitoring of resources in Lake Tahoe watershed;
- California Environmental Resources Evaluation System (CERES) – analysis and support for statewide monitoring, policy analysis for natural resources
