Insects and the Environment…and their Interactions with Us

With Dr. Phil Phillips

Learn about alternative and safer methods of managing the most common insect pests of the garden through integrated pest management (IPM). Dr. Phillips’ presentation will also cover the evolutionary history of insects and insect IPM with management options for some common non-insect pests such as snails, pill bugs and some common diseases.

The most updated information on pest and beneficial species can easily be found at the University of California’s IPM website: www.ipm.ucdavis.edu. This site also includes information about many other types of pests.
