Fusarium wilt race 3 is being documented in fields without history of this disease in Central California. To limit spread, do what you can to limit movement of plant tissue and soil from one field to another. Particularly with processing tomato harvest starting very soon and a great deal of equipment moving between tomato fields, there is an opportunity to limit movement of material from field to field and reduce risk of further spread throughout the production area.
