How CS publication production works

In publishing, “production” refers to the process after a manuscript has been peer reviewed and is accepted for publication. During this process, the manuscript flows back and forth between the experts on the subject matter (authors/technical editor) and the experts on language, design and publishing (editor and graphic designer). All seek the same goal—to produce a high-quality publication in a timely manner.

At Communication Services, the production steps differ slightly between producing single-subject publications (online publications, leaflets and most curricula) and multi-chapter books and manuals. The reason for the different is the technical editor, the academic who has taken the lead in coordinating the multi-chapter book.
