Thanks so much to everyone for the time and effort devoted to reviewing and improving upon our division-wide condition changes that were first drafted Aug. 2017. Following further discussion that leaders had with the Program Teams, peers, Statewide Programs and Strategic Initiatives, we received tremendous feedback and suggestions to improve. The timeline was short, the timing was poor, and as something new for the division, the work was a challenge! Wendy Powers, Mark Bell, and Katherine Webb-Martinez reviewed the recommendations submitted. Overall, the recommended changes were not drastically different from the original list (that’s a good thing!) but improvements were made. The final list turned out to be a bit longer but still manageable.
A self-identified group of 12 Program Team Leaders, SI Leaders, Statewide Program and Institute Directors worked together to use the condition chnage list, plus the 2025 Strategic Vision, to revise the Public Values Statements drafted in May 2017.
We have a number of identified uses for the condition changes and public value statements, including the original purpose of looking at our current efforts as they relate to the 2025 Strategic Vision. These condition changes are coded in the Project Board system for CE academics to indicate their effort towards these long-term outcomes and to tag to their outcome narratives. In addition, the Community Educator Specialists respond to an annual survey to indicate their effort towards these condition changes. There are links to findings below.
Starting for federal fiscal year 2018, we gathered qualitative outcomes data in Project Board and selected measured outcomes from individual CE academics that provide evidence of how UC ANR contributes to these condition changes.
