Land Use

Summary Changing land use is one of the most important issues facing California. In DANR, we have a myriad of resources that could help land use decision makers, and in some counties, advisors and specialists are working with land use planning agencies. These include expertise and excellent research based information on land use change, water quality and watershed management, habitat conservation, and preservation of working landscapes. This workgroup will collect our resources, make them accessible to interested clientele, identify gaps in our existing knowledge and in our extension materials and work to fill these gaps. We will also increase communication among our various members and collaborators, both within and beyond DANR and UC, who can contribute to this field.
