Prepare for upcoming UCPath outages and print your W-2

The UCPath system is preparing to transition UC Berkeley, UC Davis and Agriculture and Natural Resources to UCPath. During the month of March, there will be two seven-day outages that will affect all employees currently using UCPath.

  • Outage 1: Friday, March 1, at 5 p.m. until Thursday, March 7, at 8 a.m.
  • Outage 2: Thursday, March 14, at 5 p.m. until Wednesday, March 20, at 8 a.m.

During this time, UC employees will be unable to log into UCPath online to view or download pay statements, W-2s, leave balances and other employment records.

If you are planning to file your income taxes in March, make sure to download your W-2 in advance.

This temporary outage will not impact pay processing or leave/service accrual.

If you have a question or need information during the outage, UCPath Center associates will be available by phone. Call (855) 982-7284 Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time, for assistance.

UPDATE: The deadline to enroll in Duo has been extended to March 31, 2019.

To maintain access to critical systems such as the Time Reporting System (TRS), AggieTravel and AggieBuy, enroll in Duo by Feb. 13.

Before you enroll in Duo, make sure that your email system is supported to avoid service interruption. Visit Email Compatibility for a list of supported email systems.

The device you use with Duo can be a smartphone, tablet, cellphone or traditional landline. You should choose the device you are most likely to have close at hand when you want to access your UC ANR email.

How to enroll

  1. Visit https://computingaccounts.ucdavis.eduand choose “Duo Multifactor Authentication”.
  2. Sign in with your campus account.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to enroll a device.

Detailed step-by-step instructions are available at UC Davis IT Help.

If you encounter difficulties during enrollment, please contact the UC ANR Help Desk at help@ucanr.edu or (530) 750-1212. You can also visit the “Duo Clinic” between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday by logging onto Zoom at ucanr.zoom.us/s/491057944.

Security tokens

The preferred method for accessing Duo is via smartphone or landline. If neither of these options is viable, a Duo security token can be purchased through AggieBuy for $29.99. Units will be responsible for the cost, which is an allowable expense for Program Support Funds.

To purchase Duo tokens, visit https://AggieBuy.ucdavis.edu and search for either part number or keywords under “Product Search”:

Important UCPath Update from VP Humiston

UC ANR is fast approaching the launch of UCPath. We are scheduled to go live in March, when we'll join seven other UC locations using the long-awaited human resources, payroll and benefits technology that is modernizing how we do business across the University of California. On Tuesday, January 29, I hope you will join me at 1 p.m. for the online Town Hall to discuss upcoming changes.

UCPath will allow us to streamline and standardize our payroll, benefits and human resources processes, and will provide more efficient and improved service to UC ANR employees. UC ANR's fiscal silos will be unified, improving our ability to access our financial data. It will give us improved tools for efficient hiring and management of personnel transactions. Supervisors and employees will have better access to information through new self-service web portals, and will be supported by a new customer service center, the UCPath Center in Riverside.

As we launch UCPath, we should be reminded that major change is often difficult to implement, and we may experience challenges along the way. Our project team is working closely with other UC locations and the UCPath Center to prepare to support UC ANR through the transition. Be assured that the UCPath team, both at UC ANR and at the UCPath Center, will work to resolve any issues that you may encounter.

You'll receive more information about the changes in the coming weeks. I strongly encourage everyone to take some time to learn what's happening by reading project updates and viewing demonstration videos at ucpath.ucanr.edu, and sending any questions to UCPath@ucanr.edu.

Thanks for your support and all you do for UC ANR.

Best wishes,

Glenda Humiston
Vice President

UC ANR rolls out UCPath training tools

With UC ANR's go-live date of UC Path approaching in March/April 2019, ANR's Change Network Committee has been compiling useful resources for you.  In addition to offering monthly webinars, these resources are meant to familiarize you with the new systemwide HR and payroll-reporting system that will serve all UC employees.

UCPath training and other resources are being developed and will be available for ANR HR and payroll processors, unit managers and supervisors, fiscal officers/business managers and other employees at ANR's UCPath website: http://ucpath.ucanr.edu/training_resources.

Resources on the website will include a glossary, job aids, e-learning videos, instructor-led training, user simulations and Zoom webinars.

Employees may view a short video summary of the new employee self-service portal that will be available to employees when UCPath goes live at UCPath Employee Self Service.

Managers can view a short video summary of the new self-service portal that will be available to managers and supervisors when UCPath goes live. UCPath Manager Self Service.

Please note that the most expedient method for receiving pay on established UC pay dates will be via UC's direct deposit process. Verify your home address and paycheck delivery method in UC At Your Service Online (AYSO) at https://atyourserviceonline.ucop.edu.

After UCPath goes live, employees who are signed up to receive paper checks will receive checks sent to home addresses through U.S. Postal Service mail from a check distribution center in Arizona. Paychecks may take several days to arrive in the mail after the UC pay date. We encourage all employees to register in advance for direct deposit, if possible, at the following website: http://directdeposit.ucdavis.edu. It may take up to two pay periods for direct deposit to take effect.

For more information on UCPath, check the UC ANR UCPath website http://ucpath.ucanr.edu.

If you have questions or comments about UCPath or training, please post them on https://ucanr.edu/UCPath/ or send the ANR UCPath team an email at ucpath@ucanr.edu.
