About UCANR
For more than 100 years, the University of California Agricultural and Natural Resources (UC ANR) has worked to connect the power of UC research in agriculture, natural resources, nutrition and youth development with local communities to improve the lives of all Californians. UC Cooperative Extension (CE) includes county-based and state-wide researchers and educators who are uniquely situated to bring science-based solutions to aid in accomplishing UC ANR's lofty vision.
As of 2022, UCCE has had more than 150 Advisors conducting research, outreach, and educational activities, directly serving all 58 counties throughout California. There are more than 100 Specialists, located across six UC Campuses, conducting applied research to address specific problems or
opportunities, working to connect campus- and county-based UC academics, and providing educational leadership and technical information in support of county-based CE academics and clientele.
