Thinking About Your Garden's Soils During the Drought Lately?

Aug 11, 2015

Last week,  the Pleasant Hill Garden Study Club (PHGSC) had an informative one-hour program presentation by Steve Andrews on “Soil Management During Drought”. Steve is a recently retired UC Soil Scientist and often an instructor for new Master Gardeners' training on soils. He is well versed on garden soil management as well as the trainer and spokesperson for several Alameda and Contra Costa County organizations . You can find even more about Steve's background and expertise by following the various links on Google.

The editor of the PHGSC's in-house newsletter, Eileen Housfeld, has produced a one-page summary of the major points of Steve's hour-long presentation. It is a good start to remind you about the importance of what you should be doing to manage your garden soil during the drought. It also includes links for even more information. You can find the one-page summary at http://phgsc.com/Galleries/Aug15mtg/FPAndrewsTalk.pdf
