1. How do I select a species?

Species selection should take into consideration everything learned from choosing the right site combined with the attributes you desire. Keep in mind that most trees become a large feature in the landscape and once they reach a certain size may be subject to Heritage Tree ordinances which may limit your ability to remove the tree should you wish to do so. Many municipalities will provide recommended tree lists.
