IN THE FLOWER GARDEN:

It is time to trim up your summer bloomers, enjoy those Chrysanthemums, and plan for spring by planting bulbs!

 

IN THE VEGETABLE GARDEN:

Continue to harvest your summer fruits and vegetables,  and start planting your cool season crops!  Garlic, Onions, Potatoes, Lettuce, Kale, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kohlrabi... just to name a few!  If you are thinking about putting in some spring perennials - plant your Asparagus now...

 

IN THE HOME ORCHARD:

Enjoy your apples, make sure you pick up all dropped fruit to control future insect infestations... if you are thinking about planting a cover crop around your home orchard, now is the time to do it!
