COVID Updates and Protocols

Announcement 6/15/2020

I am sure that many of you, like myself, are ready to get back to some level of in-person Volunteer Service/ CE activity(s) you were involved with prior to our shelter in place orders and we welcome that enthusiasm. With so much interest in gardening this year, there is a great interest in our skills and knowledge.

Our first priority is your safety, and fortunately, we now have UC and Humboldt and Del Norte County guidance on how we can deliver our programming as we begin to reopen. Our State Master Gardener Program directives are as follows:

“Approval is required from the County Director prior to resuming all Master Gardener activities. The County Director’s approval will be determined by County and UC ANR standard protocols.”

If you have an activity in mind, please complete the “My Activities” survey ASAP  listing the in-person Master Gardener activities you would like to resume or a new activity you would like to participate in. Your survey(s) will be presented to our County Director, Yana for her review and approval.

Please note: Under no circumstance may you participate in any Master Gardener “in-person” activity without obtaining prior authorization from Yana. Your safety is of the utmost concern, thus the reason for this mandate.

We thank you for your dedication to the MG program, patience and adherence to the stay at home orders for your safety as well as the safety of others.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, you may indicate those on the survey.

Link to survey. Please complete with any and new activity. Please keep your activity request updated and current, complete as often as necessary.  Thank you.
