Content Types
Drupal's Content Types provide templates for various kinds of content, allowing for consistent but also dynamic presentation. Follow the links for in-depth descriptions of each content type.
- Article
- For content that focuses on subject matter such as educational topic articles, blog posts, news stories, etc. Article Content Type >>
- Page
- For static content that can be (but is not required to be) linked into the main navigation. While this is one of the most "basic" content types and can be very flexible, it should be used sparingly. Consider using other content types before creating a Page. Page Content Type >>
- Event
- For creating and sharing events that displays the what, when, who and where. An event listing will dynamically appear in your Group and other locations based on tags. Event Content Type >>
- Collection
- For associating content, a Collection is a grouping of other created content like articles and/or newsletters. This flexible content type provides the ability to add dynamic or curated content and provides an easily shareable grouping of content. Collection Content Type >>
- Documents
- For content that provides forms, official documents, attachments and/or rich text that can be educational or administrative in nature. Document Content Type >>
- People
- Add People to the website that can then be found via People Search. This should only be used for non-UCANR employees. People Content Type >>
- Tools
- For content that enables featuring an app or third-party hosted tool on your site. (E.g. calculator) Tools Content Type >>
- Video
- For content that features YouTube and uploaded videos. Add these to a Collection to create a series. Video Content Type >>
- Social Media Account
- A social media account that can be related to a Group, Account or Person. Social Media Content Type >>
