Content Hub
The Content Hub is a newly implemented feature in Integrated Web Platform (IWP) that provides an enhanced method to search across the UC ANR IWP to find content instead of utilizing Google and hoping to find the right information.
By utilizing the UC ANR Content Hub, you can take full advantage of the comprehensive search capabilities and structured tagging system to access valuable agriculture and natural resources information efficiently. As we further develop and define the tags overtime, the content hub will continue to improve.
Content Hub Benefits:
- Centralized Information Access – Search feature acts as a content hub that enables visitors to search across all published content at UC ANR, including articles, pages, collections, and blogs.
- Enhanced Discoverability – Content is tagged, making it easier to find related materials.
- Improved Efficiency –Content Hub eliminates the need to browse multiple areas manually, saving time and ensuring you access the most relevant information quickly.
Accessing Content Hub:
The two primary locations to access the Content Hub:
- Use the search bar in top navigation on the site.
- Use the contextualized search through Search Now button within a Group.
Content Hub Page Overview
Review below for a screenshot of what the Content Hub looks like in IWP with callouts to help provide more information.
1 - Current Filters – Displays the filters that are actively narrowing down search results.
2 - Filters – Provides additional options to further narrow down search results based on how the content, sites and blogs are tagged.
3 - Keywords – Word or phrase for what the visitor is trying to find.
4 - Sites/Content/Blog – Provides an overall filter of results of UC ANR by the site, blog or content (individual content items).
5 - Results – The results will list content matching your keywords, including pages, articles, sites, and blogs. Above the content’s title will help explain where it’s a site or blog versus a specific content item like an article. Visitors can click on an item from the results to view.
6 - Sort – Provides options to help re-order results to better navigate.
Refining Search
- Use Specific Keywords - For more precise results, use specific terms. For instance, instead of plants, use drought-resistant plants.
- Apply Filters - If available, use filters to narrow down results.
