Let's Eat Healthy! (a local name for the Placer/Nevada Counties UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program) provides comprehensive, hands-on nutrition education as well as produce tastings, gardening, physical activity & cooking activities to qualifying schools, youth organizations and adult groups. The vision of Let’s Eat Healthy! is to help CalFresh-eligible children and families in Placer and Nevada Counties to maintain healthy lifestyles through wise food choices and physical activity.

Each school year the Let's Eat Healthy! program staff serves over 2,800 children by teaching nutrition lessons and providing evidence-based nutrition curricula, trainings, and materials to teachers in qualifying schools and area educators at no cost. We reach hundreds of CalFresh-eligible adults through workshops and newsletters as well as family events. Please view our program fact sheet for more information.
