David Lewis, Watershed Advisor
Our watershed management program partners with county ranches and dairies to deliver land stewardship solutions.
We are leading a partnership, with eight organizations, assisting more than 160 parcel owners in the Tomales Bay Watershed to comply with water quality regulations. More than 80 percent of these parcel owners are currently compliant with the requirements and more importantly are implementing practices to improve water quality on-farm.
County commission recommends restoration projects
The Marin County Fish & Wildlife Commission recommended that the Board of Supervisors fund 12 projects totaling $24,293 on restoration and education about wildlife and fisheries in Marin County. MCSTOPPP also contributed $5,000 in funds allocated for clean water stewardship community grants to this coordinated effort.
"The Grazing Livestock and Water Quality Workshop was one of the best I have ever attended. Every speaker was great, bringing helpful and thoughtful aid to those of us attempting to navigate the myriad rules and regulations, and then, try to make a living while we’re at it.”
