This class will cover the techniques needed to prune maple trees, including: seasonal pruning, proper care, trouble analysis, winter silhouette, form enhancement as well as cultivar variations, tree selection, and planting.

Special Instructions: Zoom log-in link and soft copies of any handouts will be sent via email on or before Monday, November 4 to those who complete a registration through the pay link. If you register, be sure to check your email for the Zoom link and handouts at least one day before the class.

Along the way he has worked as a staff gardener at San Francisco's Japanese Garden in Golden Gate Park, received a degree in Engineering Hydrology from UC Davis, taught as part of the Merritt College Aesthetic Pruning series, co-founded the Aesthetic Pruners Association (APA) and served as its founding President. Currently he services as the APA Education Committee Chair, and hosts a Bonsai studio.
