- The Merced County Fair begins Wed, June 5th and ends Sunday, June 9th.
- Come see our educational display on the lesser known key crops of Merced County in the Tioga Building.
- Stop by our information booth (next to the educational display in Tioga Hall) with your gardening questions, or to learn about the community activities we support in Merced County.
- Visit our large demonstration garden with the theme of a New Orleans Elegant Courtyard. Check out the design, choice of plants, and fleur de lis symbols in the exhibit.

Well it looks like March is coming in like a lion and hopefully will go out like a lamb. In preparations for spring, here are our upcoming events:
- Sat, March 16, 2024- No Room for a Vegetable Garden… Try CONTAINERS! Public Workshop from 10:00 -11:30 am
Come listen to Tom Dinwoodie, Merced Master Gardener present a free community workshop, held at Merced College AG/IT Building. Pre-register Online Here Or by emailing anrmgmerced@ucanr.edu by 10 am. Friday, March 15 to receive map to classroom and parking. More details in newsletter or on our website.
- Sat, March 23, 2024 Master Gardeners Volunteers will have an information booth at the Merced Grange's 9th annual Plant Give and Take at St. Patrick’s church parking lot at 671 E Yosemite Ave, Merced.

- Applications for the Merced County Master Gardener Spring 2024 Training program are due Oct 20th, 2023. To learn more about the program, read the content posted on our website under "Become a Master Gardener".
- Register ONLINE HERE by Friday, Oct 20 for the Vegetative Propagation Workshop, presented by Andy Codd, Professor of Mechanical Agriculture on Sat, Oct 28 from 10 -12 noon at Merced College. Due to limited seating, we will accept the first 20 registrants, and any remaining registrants will be placed on a wait list. Parking and directions will be emailed prior to the workshop.
