Speakers Bureau - UC Master Gardeners of San Luis Obispo County

UC Master Gardeners are volunteers who have completed an in-depth training curriculum developed by the University of California Cooperative Extension on a variety of horticulture topics, pests and disease management. We provide science-based presentations, demonstrations or workshops on topics specific to SLO County.   Possible venues include garden clubs, plant societies, business or civic organizations, community events, media forums, neighborhood associations and community garden groups.

Most talks are 45-60 minutes but we can accommodate other needs. Possible topics include but are not limited to:

Composting, soils, irrigation, blackberries, blueberries, gardens for small spaces, rose care, succulents, tomatoes, wildlife habitat gardens, native bees, fruit trees, dahlias, tool care, insect pests and beneficials, herb and vegetable gardens, native plants, fire safe landscaping, selection and care of landscape trees.

Talks are free of charge. Donations are appreciated and accepted though our online Make a Gift tool by selecting the UCCE San Luis Obispo County Master Gardener Fund.

Donations go to support the educational programs and operations of UC Master Gardeners of San Luis Obispo County.
