Conference Proceedings
Papers and Extended Abstracts submission deadline has been extended to Monday, December 12, 2022. Please do not delay in sending your document to anrprogramsupport@ucanr.edu.
- Oral presenters are required to submit either a Full Paper or an Extended Abstract for the symposium proceedings.
- Extended abstracts should be 3-5 pages (600-2,500 words) and must have at least one table and/or one figure as well as references. (Extended abstract example)
- A full paper should be no longer than 12 pages including references, figures and tables. (link to the 7th Oak Symposium)
- The proceedings will be published (online only) by the USDA-Forest Service Pacific Southwest Research Station (PSW).
Review the Author Guidelines, which includes specific instructions, technical guides, and samples.

Poster Guidelines
Abstracts submitted by poster presenters will be included in the proceedings. Authors have the option to submit a Full Paper or Extended Abstract if they prefer.
We would also like to include posters on the website following the event, so please provide an electronic copy in PDF format to anrprogramsupport@ucanr.edu by November 28, 2022.
Posters should be prepared with a technical and lay audience in mind, despite the detailed nature of some topics. Please include key messages and the implications of your findings. Handouts are encouraged.
- Poster size should not exceed 36” high by 48” wide.
- Poster will be pinned to large poster boards, so please do not mount your poster on foam board.
