Step 10: Submit Final Reports
Complete Final Reports Required by Sponsor
The OCG monitors compliance with all final contract and grant reporting requirements as agreed to in the award terms and conditions.
For sponsored projects, required reports generally include the following:
Final technical or project reportThe PI is responsible for submitting the required final technical or project report to the sponsoring agency. Evidence that the report was submitted should be provided to the OCG (i.e., transmittal letter or e-mail). Final invention reportThe PI submits final invention reports to the OCG, which submits final invention reports to sponsors. The report describes any new technology developed with support from the award, whether or not it has been disclosed to the Office of the President Office of Technology Transfer. Final financial reportStandard Invoices Extramural Funds Accounting is responsible for submitting required financial reports directly to the sponsor. Due to the high volume of requests & the need for efficiency, they use standardized invoicing and reporting documents. Specialized Detailed Reports Instructions: If the sponsor has included specialized detailed invoicing then these should have been explained to the PI by the Office of Contracts and Grants & agreed to in the original award terms and conditions. It then is the responsibility of the PI to work with the BOC and Extramural Accounting to provide the invoices. If the sponsor did not disclose the requirement for specialized detailed invoicing in the award terms & conditions, then the PI should contact the OCG. They may be able to work with the sponsor to stop the request. Final equipment inventory reportIf required by the award terms and conditions, contact the BOC or your unit Business Manager for guidance or assistance with preparation of an equipment inventory report. Equipment may be defined differently per your award, than as defined by the University. |
