About Us
The bacterial disease, Huanglongbing (HLB), is potentially crippling to U.S. citrus. The Asian citrus psyllid, which spreads the bacterium, is now present in all U.S. citrus-producing states. While considerable funding is spent on research to address HLB, few resources are available to inform growers, consumers and the media about these approaches. To meet this need, we developed educational materials to explain these research approaches, in order to provide growers with information on strategies for control and detection of HLB. Materials include PowerPoint slides and Research Snapshot fact sheets that provide information on various research approaches to combat HLB.
