THREE MOSQUITO SAMPLES AND ONE DEAD BIRD TEST WEST NILE VIRUS POSITIVE IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY

San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District’s mosquito-borne disease surveillance program confirmed West Nile virus (WNV) positive mosquitoes in one mosquito sample in zip code 95206, and in two mosquito samples in 95219. Both zip codes are in the Delta area. In addition, a dead bird was found WNV positive in Manteca, zip code 95336. These are the first positive mosquitoes and bird found in San Joaquin County in 2015.
