Please tell the receptionist that you are with the "Sudden Oak Death Fifth Symposium" so your room is counted towards our block. The room block is being held until 5pm on 5/21/12 based on availability. After that, room rates will based on availability and at the hotel's prevailing rate.

Travel Details

Airports:
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport are both approximately 1.25 hours from Petaluma. Sacramento International Airport is approximately 2 hours from Petaluma.

Rental Cars:
Avis, Budget, Hertz and many other ($200-$300/week) rental cars may be picked up right at the airport. Car-pooling is encouraged. Please check with your colleagues to see if you can share rides.

Shuttle Information:
The Sonoma County Airport Express runs shuttles from San Francisco and Oakland airports to Sonoma County every hour. Check their website for schedules, fares, and further details. Drop point is the Petaluma Fairgrounds which is a 3 minute cab ride from the hotel (cabs are available upon getting off the bus). If you have 10 or more people on the same arriving and/or departing flight then private transportation may be cheaper.

Weather in Petaluma in June tends to be mild. Temperatures average 52º – 75º F with precipitation unlikely.

The city of Petaluma is located in the Sonoma County Wine Country 40 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. While you are visiting, there are a variety of things to see and do:
