Plant sample: bring in a good-sized, fresh sample in a clear plastic bag that shows healthy as well as unhealthy parts of the plant. Keep the sample in your refrigerator until you leave home.

Insect sample: freeze insects/s ahead of time; put in a pill bottle or plastic container. Do not tape smashed insects to a piece of paper. We need intact samples with all body parts to be able to identify it.
