Food Production Systems: Large- and Small-Scale Crop Production Systems: How Different Are They?
In this session, panelists will engage in a lively discussion regarding large and small crop production systems. They will focus on differences regarding yields, crop diversity, varietal diversity, pest control, irrigation, soil, regulatory compliance and labor management; the different roles of the two crop production systems, and the implications of these differences on how UC-ANR should serve their needs through its research and outreach programs.
