UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources is now taking online public comment and public ranking of proposals for new Cooperative Extension Specialists and County Advisor positions.

Please consider casting your support for the following position:

Statewide UCCE Specialist in Grazing Ruminant Nutrition

This is a statewide position that would work closely with our existing UC range, livestock, and vet med programs. It would focus on improving the bottom-line for all CA ranchers (e.g., drought feeding strategies, mineral nutrition) and aiding managers to protect natural resources (e.g., minimizing livestock selection for non-forage species such as riparian woodies, examining nutritional aspects of targeted grazing for weed management). This position would work well with our colleagues in the CSU system.

Click here to view position details, scroll down to the Comments section, and let the university know why this position would be valuable to you.

Please spread the word!  We will have a better chance of getting this position if there is a lot of public support.
