Who are the UC Master Gardeners?
The University of California Master Gardener Program extends UC research based information about home horticulture and pest management to the public. The UC Master Gardener Program is administered locally by participating University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) county offices.
The UC Master Gardener Program is an example of an effective partnership between the University and passionate volunteers. In exchange for training from the University of California, Master Gardeners offer volunteer services and outreach to the general public.
Become a Master Gardener!
The UC Master Gardener program is open to all California residents with a desire to learn more about home gardening, regardless of previous horticultural knowledge. Applicants must have a desire to learn, ability to volunteer, and deliver outreach in local communities. Contact your local UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE) office for more information on training classes.
