Hi Brad,

The conference takes place October 7 - 10, 2014 at the Tenaya Lodge near Yosemite. You can register here: https://ucanr.edu/survey/survey.cfm?surveynumber=11903

I was looking over the session choices and have a suggestion: Write an overview of the session content. The titles are great, but some of them leave me questioning the real content. I'm looking forward to my first MG Conference!

Hi Marilynn,

Thanks for the feedback - the conference session details can be found by clicking on 'Program'. I will change the link on the registration to make it more clear.

Looking forward to seeing you at the conference!

When do you anticipate the cost for attending the conference to be available on your web site? With thanks, Kathleen

Hi Kathleen,

Thanks for your patience, we are still securing sponsors and vendors for the event in an effort to bring the cost down for attendees. We are hopeful to have final pricing by the beginning of March.

Best, Melissa

I'd love to come to the conference at Tenaya Lodge and give a talk or lead a discussion on a seedy topic/issue; who do I ask? I have a good list of topics and slideshows I could share with whoever is making the speaker decisions – could someone direct me to whoever is making these decisions? Also I would be pleased to contribute seeds for everyone's registration goodie bags. Renee Shepherd, Renee's Garden Seeds Renee Shepherd, Renee's Garden Seeds

Please contact Missy Gabe, director of the Statewide Master Gardener Program at mjgable@ucanr.edu

We keep being reminded to sign up early but there is no place to sign up. When do you anticipate we will be able to register?

Hi Sarah, We are still working on finalizing conference and registration details. Thank you for your patience. Best, Melissa

Is there a discount or promotion code associated with the 2014 conference that can be used for reserving a room at Tenaya Lodge?

Just say you're booking for the Master Gardener Conference and you'll be good to go!

The 3-county bid that encompasses both north and south climate systems gets my vote. I attended the conference in Santa Rosa and that was spectacular, but also urban and centered on wine. Time for a more rural experience, close to a national park? I'm ready for it.

I also feel that it is only fair to alternate locations between Northern and Southern California, every other Conference. Southern California would be the logical choice for 2014. Thank you for your consideration.

What is the date of the 2014 Conference, I don't see it on the Home page. I understand it is near Yosemite.

Love Yosemite park. It is a beautiful destination but I also love the idea of being able to bring my family. Orange county has more acommodations for the family.

When is this going to be announced so we can plan where and when? By now there should have been announcements and publicity.

Orange County is so close I'd love to see it there ... Plus there are so many activities for family to do while MG is attending meetings! Sounds like a win win to me.

Hi... The last 4 conferences have been in the Northern part of the state. I would think that it is time for the conference to be held in the Southern part of the state. Thanks for listening.

Yes, we are hoping to receive a bid package(s) from Southern California.

Love the idea of a collaborative effort by three very diverse California counties! Great destination and conference center, magnificent scenery, diverse climates, great tour possibilities... what's not to like about this? Good luck on your bid for the 2014 UC Master Gardener Conference!

This is a very exciting prospect for our three counties should it be selected by our statewide MGs. Kudos to everyone who collaborated putting this bid together.
