Kevin Cann

Kevin Cann

Kevin Cann, a Pennsylvania native and University of Pittsburgh graduate, enjoyed a 30-year career with the National Park Service (NPS). The last 18 years of Cann's career were spent in Yosemite National Park - serving as park’s deputy superintendent for his last ten years.  Elected to the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors in 2008, after retiring from the NPS, Cann is now in his second term. He is currently the board chair and has served as president of the statewide Rural Counties Association.

Bill Frost

Bill Frost, Associate Vice President, is responsible for providing leadership to the statewide University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE), Agricultural Experiment Station (AES), Research & Extension Center, UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) programs and Academic Personnel units. Frost’s previous leadership roles at UC ANR include eight years as the Program Leader for Natural Resources and Animal Agriculture. Frost earned degrees in range science from UC Davis and a doctorate in range management from the University of Arizona. Frost utilized his expertise throughout his 20+ year career with Cooperative Extension in Arizona and California. Frost served as a natural resource advisor in the Central Sierra Nevada for 14 years and the UCCE El Dorado County Director for 10 years.

Shelton Johnson

Shelton Johnson

Shelton Johnson, a Detroit native and University of Michigan graduate, has been a park ranger since 1987. Johnson has spent the last 20 years of his career as a National Park Ranger at Yosemite National Park. Johnson is best known for telling the story of the Buffalo Soldiers in the Sierra Nevada.  Johnson was featured in Ken Burns’ Emmy-winning 2009 documentary, The National Parks, America’s Best Idea. Following his documentary appearance, Johnson was a guest The Oprah Winfrey Show. Johnson was invited for a special screening of the documentary at the White House and a meeting with US President Barack Obama.

Don Neubacher

Don Neubacher

Don Neubacher, Yosemite National Park Superintendent, oversees and directs Yosemite National Park’s complex daily operations.  Yosemite, known for its waterfalls, deep valleys and meadows, is a World Heritage Site which attracts more than four million visitors annually.  Neubacher’s professional history embraces an impressive array of park-related experiences and awards.  Previously, Neubacher was superintendent at Point Reyes National Seashore, following earlier NPS appointments over 30 years at several other national park units. Neubacher received degrees in environmental planning and management and resource management.
